Let’s introduce ourselves …
Lenka
Lenka was born in the Czech Republic where she qualified in Business Administration. She worked in media and on marketing strategies and music festivals for a music venue in Prague. Lenka has lived in Paignton for more than 12 years during which time she has worked in hospitality, the retail industry and in business, managing holiday and rental apartments. Lenka loves where she lives and has ambitions to get involved in projects to beautify the town.
Sue
Sue is Brixham ‘born and bred’. She has travelled extensively and has lived in British Columbia, Canada and the Republic of Ireland. Sue is a qualified lawyer and has run her own business involving business and marketing planning, project and event management. She has worked in the not for profit sector managing governance and finance. Being a keen gardener, Sue is a firm believer in the value of locally grown and produced food.
Phil
Phil has a degree in Fine Art and loves creating and exhibiting contemporary sculpture. Over the last five years Phil has worked as an events coordinator at two heritage locations in Torquay, Torre Abbey and Cockington Court, coordinating everything from intimate weddings to public events. Phil has a creative mind but also thinks practically and combines these strengths to organise imaginative events, exhibitions and gatherings.
How ‘green’ are we?
We love where we live. We love nature and natural things. We care about our environment. We think we ‘do our bit’ when it comes to recycling and having an awareness of the small steps we each can take to care for our world. We want where we live and the environment we live in to benefit our communities in a way that is fair and just for all. We think this makes us ‘green’ in the broadest sense of the word.
